Famous as a haven to exotic, mystical and surprizing fuse of mesmerizing music, Buddha Bar enchants Asia by opening its heavenly door in the heart of Jakarta and hosts one majestic and historical building that nestles in one of the main road of the prestigious Menteng vicinity.

The beautiful exterior décor is authentic Colonial style in the antique period of time and it strikes a stunning vision of this classical structure which provides an impressive façade against the understated Teuku Umar setting.

The interior décor asian inspired, with unique furnitures, ancient artifacts, antiq sculptures and elegantly trimmed light fittings, presents a lush and intimate mood for the crème de la crème of Jakarta’s high society.

Originaly built in 1913 as a leisure place including a restaurant this astonishing building became the Bataviasche Kuntskring, or the Batavia Cultural Center, during the Dutch colonial era before becoming the Indonesian Immigration Office. Not used during several years the state-of-the-art renovation to implement Buddha Bar Jakarta really ressucitate it and bring it back to its first vocation.

RESTAURANT

An epitome of unrivalled signature style and originality to accomodate Pan Asian & Pacific Rim kitchen, Buddha Bar restaurant stimulates and awaken every elite customer’s senses who hunt for sumptuous delicacies on the 2nd floor of Buddha Bar establishment in which up to 200 people could dine under the watchful eye of an enormous Buddha statue. As the name implies, Buddhas adorn much of the space, but there are other features that add to the enlightened atmosphere. The color scheme of deep marroons and golds and blues creates a real sense of warmth. The menu, in perfect harmony with the setting, offers a real Pacific Rim cuisine with a masterful blend of ingredients and spices where Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and other flavours combine subtly with a zest of the West.
